Concept Overview

Applied Visual Arts is a branding and logo design project for the graphic design and fine arts department at Spokane Falls Community College. The goal was to craft a lively and energetic visual emblem that encapsulates the diversity, passion, and creative drive of student designers.

The design features a vibrant, multi-layered color flower-petal motif overlayed with a bold, hand-drawn typography style that spells out "Applied Visual Arts". Beneath the emblem is a clean, modern subtext "Spokane Falls Community College" using a custom handwritten font.
